Are buying commercial ammo or reloading? Reloaded AR ammo can be tuned to the rifle just like a bolt gun.

Good luck with your new build.

AR Variants / Aero Precision AR 10 build in ...
Last post by tomt - May 03, 2024, 10:38:29 AM
The other day, I picked up an Aero Precision M5 lower receiver for a decent price. At the time I didn't realize saving $$$ on the receiver was going to cost mucho $$$ for the build. ;D  ;D Pretty much almost all of the parts and pieces are Aero Precision except for the Magpul Furniture and Superlative Arms gas block. The barrel is a 20"rifle length fluted Ballistic Advantage. I've loaded for my 6.5 CM bolt gun but not for a gasser. I will be running this gun suppressed with an Omega 300 until the Scythe-TI is out of jail. What should I on the lookout for? Thanks

It says their acquisition of rcbs will more than double the workforce, and they will be able to churn out more powder.

I think this might be a good corporate move for us reloaders.

Added another little piece to the 7 prc project.. instead of putting a bubble level on it to know the rifle is level when shooting it I went with the mdt send it level.. pretty cool little gadget.. havnt got to use it yet but I'm liking it already..

Not so good.  I had put a new differential in the car for the season....it was a clutch type positraction unit versus the ratcheting  locker that I had been using for years.  Well, there was something wrong with it and it could take any power without just slipping.  Never saw that in a rear end before....so didn't get to run.

Should have it resolved by the next event on the 18th......

I am a bit behind in posting the 1000 yard results.  I had a race that overlapped the last two days....so I was MIA.

Jeff continued his dominance by taking the top spot on the 1000 yard match and the combined overall 600/1000 yard win as well.  The good news is that a couple of the local guys did very well too.  Rick Shields and Phil Peterson took the 2nd and 3rd overall positions behind Jeff.  Here are the final 1000 yard results.

Lane Buxton shot well in just the 1000 yard portion of the Nationals.  Lane was part of the US Team that shot in South Africa recently....an F-Class shooter and very good and familiar with SacValley conditions.  Just makes Jeff's win that much more significant.

It's WPR  (Western Precision Rifle PRS style shooting) not The PRS
