Looking at having one built.
Anyone with firsthand experience with one?
Good or bad?

I'm looking for a long range yote killer. If I can see it 22 creedmoor can kill it.
The 223 is very limited ( practical ) range and a little wind blows it off.
Jerry, I remembered Txhillbilly built one and so I did look that up.

I've thought about a big 22 cal several times. I like shooting a .223 but don't like reloading the little cases and projectiles. I think I would research and look at a 22 BR if I ever got serious about it.

I would think the long neck and a lower powder charge would have a much better barrel life than a 22 Creedmoor  or a 22x47 Lapua where you would be running over 40 grains of powder to launch it.

Strictly my opinion with no 22 experience other than .223s and rimfire.

I'm a fan of the 22 caliber. Got a few of them. Wonder how much difference their is between 22creed and 22-250 . My 220 swift will get it done out there 4 or 500 yards and get it done quick. I'm curious about the 224 valkiary. How ever you spell it. Lol

We still have a 22-250 in the family, and  mainly our wood chuck plinker.
Since dabling with the 6.5 creed, I personally won't use the 22-250 again.
If I were to ever build a .22, I'd neck down a Grendel.

The 22 creed is interesting me cause, I can neck down my 6 creed brass or
run the Alpha 22 brass.  It can run a 90 gr. bullet @3200 fps. Thats just as fast
as my 223 with my 55 gr. blitzkings, so a whole lot less drift at distance.
The Valkyrie runs somewhere in the 2700 with the 90 gr. and the 22-250
and 220 swift run 3500+ but use a 50 gr. bullet, so drift becomes a
problem out there.  I want a point and shoot round for dogs.
As I won't be shooting it as much, barrel life won't be a problem.

I'm about 85% sure on building one ,been following them for a good year . Runs an 80 gr Eld 3500 fps out of a 22" barrel. That's 4 moa flatter than my 6.5 x284 @ 1000 yards and carries 1100 ft lb Energy out to 500 yards. I've got a 22 Nosler which is really, really fun in a gas gun but only thing I've scene successful so far with the 22 Creed is running it in a bolt .
Oh yeah and I'm already running Bushing Dies for my 6.5 Creed so All I gotta do is use a different bushing for the 22 Creed ( and use the same dies) which is a plus.
