But when I priced what I wanted to change, it's a $2000  (accurate 6.5 creedMoor barrel etc..)

The AeroP based build up is about $2,100

deals I tell ya!!

the DPMS 308 16" sporter is about that price...but

- Barrel is slow twist rate even for a 308
- 16" barrel is cutting out 200 fps from typical 308 rifles ($500 fix)
- Trigger is sub par MilSPEC ($200 fix)
- Forearm protection is the cheap plastic M-16 heat protector. ($1-300 fix)
- Stock is the cheap M-16 non-adjustable kind  ($150-300 fix)
- Pistol grip is nice though.

I think though that these offerings are for people that just want a bang when they pull the trigger using the cheapest possible ammo source.  And that's OK!   The DPMS cheap builds are great for NATO7.62 147gr bullets.   Deet should be happy that I guy wants to use a 308 vice a flesh wound with 223.

Then there are people that are diseased...sick in the head...narcissistic...perfectionists...forum members...that have to have to the best in whatever category they choose.  I, sadly, am one of those people.  $1000 just wont do.  "Store bought" just won't do either.

Good quality is long remembered after the sting of the price is gone.
Buy the best you can realistically afford IMO.
I'd rather save for what I want than have constant regrets from a compromise just to "have it now "
Don't look down on people unless you're helping them up.
