A little off topic but.

A one gallon plastic mike jug filled with water is equivalent to how many inches of ballistic gelatin?  Can anyone help?

You can make your own Ballestic Gelatin. Pretty easy. I made it once. It takes awhile to setup and only get maybe 2 shots out of it though

I don't know the answer to your question but a lot of people usually set up 10-12 water filled milk jugs on 2 4x4 rails spread apart for the water to drain and have a place to go at 100yds and find the bullet in one of the last jugs. you have to have them level with your sight of aim so you keep the bullet centered in all the jugs. You will get a rcovered expanded bullet for all your work.
