Re: Cleaning brushes!!! Reply #1 – March 20, 2021, 09:00:08 AM I use Pro Shots and J Dewey "No Harms" and they both seem to last a few years. I just rinse the Butch's out of them with some Hornady One Shot cleaner and they seem to last. If i get a couple years out of a $2 item I am happy. https://deweyrods.com/product-category/parts-accessories/brushes/no-harm-bronze-bore-brush/ 1 Likes
Re: Cleaning brushes!!! Reply #2 – March 20, 2021, 10:21:40 AM I use whatever is available, Cabelas or whatever, some are nylon some are not. I don't shoot enough to wear them out very fast.
Re: Cleaning brushes!!! Reply #3 – March 20, 2021, 11:11:59 AM I usually buy the Pro Shot ones. They are made of bronze and not Stainless steel. They also have a looped end.I buy a half doz of the calibers I'm using at the timeBore mops, nylon and bronze.I mark one bore mop for copper and one for carbonSeems to cover the inside of the barrel with a more even coat of what ever I'm using. 2 Likes
Re: Cleaning brushes!!! Reply #4 – March 20, 2021, 01:07:10 PM Bore Tech and Iosso nylon brushes. Bore Tech is black and Iosso is blue. You see where this is headed. Clean them in a sink of hot water and Dawn. 1 Likes
