Get my second Moderna punch Saturday, 13 March.   Hoping they are no negative side effects.

Choosing not to take established precautions and take a vaccine when available would, ideally, be a personal choice.  Unfortunately it's not.  By going against the science you will put yourself, your family, friends coworkers or anyone you cross paths with at risk of contracting this thing.

As a biology student in grad school in college,  I had the opportunity to work and study in the lab of one the worlds leading virologists when HIV hadn't even been named HIV yet.  He was working in concert with Immunologists to understand the virus and develop a vaccine.  Scientists were in the processes of mapping the human genome (our DNA) at this time in history also.  We were some of the first to use electrophoresis to view a DNA fingerprint. It was a great time to be a biology student.

I had my 2nd Moderna shot 2 weeks ago tomorrow, so I should be at a higher level of immunity.  My mother, who has lymphoma, took the vaccine with me.  With my background, i had no concerns or fears in taking an M-RNA vaccine.  I know it does not "become  part of my DNA".   None of my 3 children or their wives have taken the vaccine.  They are all at the age to start having their own children.
I am not going to try to convince them to take the vaccine.  While most of my friends have or will be taking the vaccine, I dont argue or get mad at the few who are not going to take it.  I feel it is their individual choice.

But my children and the friends/other relatives who have not taken the vaccine are SMART ENOUGH to wear a mask, wash their hands, social distance and do not get around large crowds or any one who may have been exposed.  It is VERY SELFISH to break these very simple practices to help control the spread.  Over 530,000 have died of complications from covid.  It doesn't matter if they have cancer or a heart problems or bad diabetes...the virus cuts their lives even shorter.
Not wearing a seat belt increases YOUR chance of dieing in a car wreck.  Not wearing a mask and following the other practices effects EVERYONE your come in contact with.

FYI, you can always click Quick Edit to fix a mistyped post, sadly I know this because I use it all the time, lol.

The trick with using quotes is to start your post outside the last HTML quote in square braces.

Something like 94% of those that have died have had 2+ comorbidities and the average age of death is around 80yrs. old. Remember Dr. Birx saying they were counting deaths with covid as deaths from covid. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGHp1GdOD4k

When the schools are closed because of Covid and the border is open in spite of Covid - there is an agenda, a nefarious one.

When I was a kid I was given the miracle drug Penicillin for a respiratory condition that refused to self-resolve. God bless Alexander Fleming, but it darn near killed me, yet it has benefitted millions by now. You never know, life is full of risks.

And thus, the reason for risk/benefit analysis. Unfortunately that line of analysis only works correctly when you know all the facts. 😊
