First 6.5 Creed build need some input

I'm in the process of aquiring parts for my first 6.5 Creed build.  I am hoping this will be a sub-MOA build so I am following the "buy once, cry once" mentality.  So far I have a 20" proof barrel, Tubbs flat buffer spring, and I just ordered a Seekins SP-10 Builders set.  Proof recommends a JP enhanced bolt, so I plan to used their BCG as well.

My question is, can I use the low mass BCG with an adjustable gas block (Superlative Arms) to minimize recoil or should I stick with the full mass version?

This will probably be the next part I order so I look forward to your feedback.

I am assuming your Proof Research has the +2 gas system.

I am not familiar enough with +2 gas systems to fully answer.

But, can offer some input...  the pressure at that point should be less then typically associated with a large frame AR and a routine RLGS.

I would try a standard gas block, with the Low Mass BCG first... then consider a Adj. GB if it runs properly via the standard GB.

The +2 is supposed to lessen the recoil impulse by itself. And most certainly will.. especially with the shorter dwell time of that 20" barrel.

I'd hate to buy a Adj. GB only to find the +2 has already done the job.

I might be completely wrong.. I also think you should phone and ask JP and Proof Research and ask their opinion>

And my response is based on the +2 gas system length AR barrels
... ( I only saw that version at Proof Research )

What are you primarily doing with it?  Hunting, competition or just smacking steel?  You are listing some high $ parts that may not be necessary.  I have several "home built" AR10's that I would be happy to compete with, but are too heavy for hauling around for hunting?  I'll be happy to share some of my experiences to reduce your angst..... lemme know!

6.5's tend to be over gassed I'd run a full masss bolt
