Jerry....It's really no different then Sinclair, just upside down.
I drop the pill tip first into the seater punch, then run the test
indicator across the base.....I noticed a slight wobble, and seen
the tip was hitting the seater before touching the ogive, thus
deepen the seater a bit.

Sounds like a great solution. Are you actually reference off the ogive or further out towards the tip?

I'm about a good 2 thirds down from the tip. You can see the
burnish mark on the tip, and why I opened it a bit.....I'll be
heading out to my Sons to get some mill work done. I'm going
to root through some totes of old shop tools, and cob up a
fugly inspection station.
