I swapped out the barrel's on the Archimedes action today. As usual, X-Caliber did a great job on the barrel, and I really like the style / looks of their barrel nut. Who ever does their Cerakoting also did a great job. I also fixed the bolt stop / release knob on the action. It was almost impossible to turn by hand, it's the same style as my Nucleus Gen 1 action, but it just doesn't turn easily.
I took it apart, and cut a couple coils off the detent spring. Now, it turns pretty easy by hand.
Now I just need to resize some brass, and start working on some load development.

Thanks Grant, I'm going to give the LG another .2g of powder and see if it tightens it up.

We'll see tomorrow I guess.

New release for hunters.  Out of stock everywhere.  Think it their challenge to ELD-X.  We will continue to chase.  Will load 6.5 PRC around 2800 and 6.5 CM maxxed.  Should be a grocery getter.  I am leery of ELD-X from 6.5 PRC at 100 or less.  Smokes the critter but bullet literally evaporates.  Have mentioned before.  The PRC is now reserved for long pokes past 200.

Mirage was ON, was dialed back to 25x on the HG and should have been on the LG
Arrived Thursday evening to shoot Friday morning but conditions were poor so I decided not to waste the time and testers I had loaded. LG could use some work and the HG did well and pulled me through to the grand agg win.

I'll try to post the results later.

No question Dave and Bob have made some major strides forward over the last 12 months. It only comes with hard work, thinking outside the box, and the dedication to practice, practice, practice. I can't wait to get past my health issues to get back in the saddle. It's driving me nuts not to be out there right now.
