pretty much the same as a push feed with the firing pin removed when measuring chamber headspace and bolt face to lands - only difference for me with the Deviant is it helps to load the case head in the bolt face before testing bolt closure. Seat the case on the bolt and then deliver both into the receiver. You have to keep the case in position with something in the mag well as you slide it forward into the chamber. Can be frustrating though - if the case head slips out of the bolt face you start over.

I quite like my a-bolt 2 bolt. Not a fan of the ab3 though.
Mine cycles great, short lift. It's just a bear to disassemble.  Got stuck at 95% apart and could not get a pin out and ended up putting it all back together.
