Welcome Josh,  my son lives in winnfield.  He got a cm a few months ago.  Davtac in bossier built his gun.  He just got a scope on it and sighted in with 140 factory amax and it shoots pretty great with factory ammo.

This is the ATACR that came out first. They came out recently with a newer model with larger turrets, a built in throw lever, flip caps and a digital illumination push button. I intended on ordering that one but I made a mistake and ordered the older model from Amazon. I liked this one too so I kept it. I guess my next one will be the new model :D. I wish I had the money to buy 3 or 4 of them. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that you have to turn the entire eyepiece to zoom. I normally leave mine all of the way up so its not a big deal to me. I have never looked at a F-1 model but I'm sure they are awesome.

Lee at Davtac is who built mine as well. I haven't tried any factory ammo yet but I'm sure it would shoot pretty well.

Yeah yours is second focal plane.

I have a Vortex Razor HD that is 1st focal plane. It was the best scope in the world until my Nightforce arrived.  I wish I could find someone that would trade me even for an ATACR or a S&B PMII. Lol

How far in min. is that from exit 55? That's where my Koter is located..

Rob01

Exit 55 is about Branford? Takes me about 45-50 min to get to New Haven so maybe 40 min.

Danbonzo

Yes Branford. You are not far from Mohegan?

texasnavy, thank you for posting this! I remembered talking to you about it and was curious if you had posted a photo as of yet (I can't get on here as much as I'd like). I did a quick search for "barrett" and yup... there is that amazing 98B. What a great platform! Thank you for posting this. It must feel great to be part of such an exclusive club of Barrett owners.

So it's just a good old fashioned 7 mag.
 COOL !  I really like the 7 mag .
Had a Remington 700 SS in 7 mag that was superbly accurate.
Great looking rifle. What twist does it take for those long bullets in the 7 mag. ?
If your going to be a Bush Alaskan You need a perfect winter rifle. The Ruger M77 Hawkeye SS in 6.5 Creedmoor is mine.<br>You are being watched.
