Hunting / Re: LA Firearms Deer Season Ends Today

Ever since I canceled my western tripiveeen lindo bummed out. My MN  season had me hunting a little less than other years. Mystill hunting skillssuffer greatly with My sleeping left hand. Nowaycouldithrow upyriflelikethepatad fire multipleshots.
WI season was a slow mover and I still kick myself for not taking the600 yard shot on the last day I hunted with a rifle
I could have dialed 11 or 12 minutes and known where the pill was going. My lack of long shooting was my fault for missing my mail in funds for our rifle club when I was in the hospital. I also missedmyelkapplication that week as I was unabletohold my phone in myleft hand.
The Louisiana season sounds like it would have fulfilled  my season.
I was able to reappear in WI  for The muzzle loaderhunt and didseeanotherlittle button buck! When my son have mean emergency rideto thevetinduluth the day my dock was put down my truck gotleftin WI  with all my gear and several firearms. I could have hunted h8erei n MN  one more week with the 7mm too. Saw several deer in my yard but no bucks. We are now contemplating our elk applications for wyoming next fall.
Huntingthoughts and preparation last 24 7s for 365 in my house.

I've used both and continue to use both, and I have have also just ordered the data updates from Quickload as well.

From what I've seen so far, with the 6.5cm, using H4350 and Hornady 140gr ELD-M bullets, Quickload and GRT were very close to each other, and also seemed to align (again close) with actual measured velocity for powder charge.

For other reloads for my 454 Casull, GRT was way off the mark, where Quickload was again very close to actual. So, possibly a difference in powder type and data for those load in GRT. There are certainly some things I like with GRT in terms of presentation, but both applications require running on Microsoft Windows, which for me, means a virtual machine running on my Mac laptop.

I haven't been to the range yet this year, it's about 45 min. away. It's gonna be a while before I get there, it's cold with snow on the ground. The temp isn't a big deal but I want to recover my brass.

Shot at our Monday morning practice session out to 600 yards.  We have a local match next Sunday at that distance so we had a good turn-out.  This will be an electronic target match which will be new for me.  The club is mixing up doing registered NBRSA matches and then local electronic target matches.  We're working to pull in some new shooters and creating some new classes for chassis guns etc.

The electronic targets are pretty nice.  You get to see each shot immediately with the group size and score.  Here is the 6mm Grendel.....slowing getting it dialed in.

After we shot the practice, a fellow shooter and I went and shot pistols at the public range.  I hadn't shot my 9mm Beretta 92FS in several was fun to get some time with it.

Must be a slow twist .243 barrel. With a faster twist of 8 and faster and 105+ weight bullets you can reach well past 1000 pretty easy.
