Dave the retical in the gen 2 is fantastic (ebr7c) this gen 3 is about the same with some minor improvements (ebr7d)
A little smaller floating dot little thinner vertical and horizontal lines.. the Christmas tree is great for shooting multiple distances in a stage.. dial for the first and hold for the next..

Quote from: gman47564 on March 22, 2024, 08:27:50 PMThanks Wayne.. I got some retumbo and h1000 that I don't use in anything.. was going to try the retumbo first then h1000 if retumbo doesn't work out
Know you probably have checked out Ryan Furman's Long Range Only cartridge guide.  Would forward, but tore up my Power Point Ranger certificate and razor the day I retired from the Army.  I keep going back to his 6.5 PRC and 7 PRC cartridge guides and pick up a nugget every time.  Retumbo, H4831sc, H1000, N565.  LR and magnum primers.  My sewing circle runs the gamut from retired, heavy equipment operators, ag guys and Army pilots.  We have put together some pretty good chit just tweaking his recipes.
If you have the shot, take it.

I've got both the gen 2 reticles, the floating dot is very workable but if they'd get rid of the hash marks going up from it then it would be 1000x better for spotting impacts and watching trace.

Picked up my action this morning.. I like the tungsten ceracoat color.. did some of my little tricks to it to make it run a little smoother.. and it's running pretty nice.. added a jard trigger .. 7 to 12 ounce.. after putting it on there I don't think I will even touch any of the adjustment screws.. it's sweet right out of the box..

Loaded 15 rounds of the 184 berger fclass hybrids this morning.. getting started rounds I will call them.. use them to get the scope dialed in and to get a feel for the gun and speed of the h1000 powder.. the 7 prc is a impressive looking round to me.. this should be a fun one to shoot..

Also a pic comparing a 7prc to its little brother the 6.5 prc.. ;D

I didn't realize that the case of the 6.5 PRC was shorter than the 7 PRC....I was just assuming the same case with different neck sizing.  Interesting.....

I hear only good things about the 7 PRC(W).  Look forward to see how it shoots.

Bob the 7prcw is a 6.5prc case necked up to 7mm

From the photo, it sure looks like the 6.5 is shorter than the 7.

Oh....I misundersttod.  So the 7PRC is longer but the 7PRCW is just a necked up 6.5 PRC and therefore uses the shorter case......I think I get it now.  DIdn't realize the difference between the 7 PRC and the 7 PRCW

The w in prcw comes from wheeler bob.. and he may have changed the 6.5prc case dimensions a little like neck length or shoulder angle but I'm not sure on that..
