Well my dr visit sucked.
Spine pathways on the web site says 3 weeks to see them. Dr says it will be two months.
Getting strong painkillers now. Hate meds.
I told the dr I was very close a few times to going to the hospital. He said that's an option.
I can not go to Spine pathways as it's in the hospital, but I can phone them. Grrrr

I am extremely glad for those of you that are much better or getting better.

I knew last fall I knew was going to have to have back surgery. I called for an appt with a specific spine surgeon in Denver - second week of Oct 2022. At that time the first appt I could be scheduled for was March the 6th 2023 !!!!! That's a five month wait - in the USA - like it or not we are in a socialist medical setting. Just like Canada or England or France. Sucks!

Long story short, because someone else cancelled, I got my "meet and greet" appt last Friday. Earliest actual surgery appt available is somewhere between one month to three months. I'm currently waiting for a call from the scheduler to find out. Remember when you used to be able to talk to your doctor directly with a simple phone call?

Back to Tony:
He is gradually improving from his stroke. His attitude is better and he is doing a lot of physical therapy. Unfortunately his house burned to the ground Saturday night. He and hi family are safe.

My god the poor guy can't catch a brake.

I hope things go quickly for you, maybe someone will cancel again.
Our PM wants to bring in 500,000 new people to Canada every year. Yet we have piss poor healthcare already.

All my best to you guys.  They talk about how great the 'Golden Years' are....I'm not so sure.  I have lost so many close friends over the past year or so that it really makes you appreciate each day.  I'm a bit like Dave, able to get around pretty well but definitely feel age getting the upper hand at times.

Jerry,
Similar story. Go for my consult on 13 April.  Will beg the doc to get me in as soon as he can. I will NOT take pain meds.  Have seen too many manly men get hooked and cry like babies when the military docs tried to wean them off the poison. Laminectomy of L2,3,4 and 5 June 2020.  Told y'all about it.  Now it's S1, L1-5, narrowing of the spine and bone fragments.  Am sure I will get the plates and pins this time.  I will be fine.  Everything else works.  Too many parachute jumps and living like a Texas cowboy on a cattle drive to Kansas. Loved the life.  No regrets.  Would do it all over again.  "Shoot up here amongst us, one of us has got to have some relief."  Encouraging news about Swamp.  Still using a modified version of his ladder test.  Damn, I'm getting
old.
