Gunsmithing / Re: Ordered a lathe
On the Grizzly I had for awhile there was a hole at each corner with a little door on it. I had 2 pieces of 1" sucker rod about 30" Long that would slide through the holes then I'd narrow up the forks on my skidsteer and put the extensions on and scoop it up. Was very stable handling.
Gunsmithing / Re: Ordered a lathe
It arrived today....tomorrow is getting if off the trailer in one piece and checking for damage.  Some of the crate was pretty beat-up and I've taken pictures just in case.

Like the sticker says, they're extremely top heavy. I'd try the cherry picker and lift from above off the bed of the machine.

What year is your dually it looks nice!
Reloading / Re: Hornady book?
Before i chased powder further I'd definitely work on seating a 54.7 or 54.8 and I would question the scope as well.
Reloading / Re: Need to Purchase Powder for 6.5
Welcome to the forum, first in the current situation don't limit yourself to those two powders. Look at all the powder and bullet reloading data and see what other alternate powders there are then check Powder Valley, Midway, Brownells, Midsouth, Natchez etc etc multiple times per day until you find something that will work.

It's tough right now but appears to be getting better. You have to put in the work LOL
AR Variants / Re: Aero precision m5e1
You're gonna not have fun chasing your brass around LOL I've got an AR  10 & 15 lower in the closet that I haven't taken any further for that reason.
General Discussion / Re: Warning! Fraudulent Online Firearms Retailer!
Anyplace that won't take what we've come to consider normal forms of payment should be considered a scam.

I and I'm sure many of you have used PayPal friends & family, it's a gift from you to them as far as they're concerned and there is no recourse.

Any newer online retailer that has powder primers etc that are unavailable elsewhere should be thoroughly vetted before purchases made.

Nobody is going to bail you out on these types of deals with these newer forms of payments so it's up to you to look out for yourself.

Do your research before buying please I don't want to see anyone get scammed out of their hard earned money.
Competition / Re: Local NBRSA Match
That's got me wanting to shoot a match LOL and really has me looking forward to getting my gear back from the smith.
General Discussion / Re: Got me a new rig..
Seems like if something breaks and i dont get on it right away and get it fixed it ends up back in the fence row forgotten about.. lol.. i drive this thing around to much for it to end up in the fence row.. lol

That's one of the problems, I've got an 03 Chevy Avalanche with 180k miles that 2 boys dinged up years ago. It's my knock around rig when I'm home. Rides like a car, full crew cab backseat for gear and a decent size bed. There's no real priority to get the two minis running.
If I ever find a decent deal on another avalanche I'll be a buyer!
General Discussion / Re: Got me a new rig..
I've got an 86 Suzuki Samurai that needs a clutch. Can't remember the Year but I also have an 8 valve EFI Geo Tracker that needs a fuel pump and a little suspension work.
My 40' x 64' shop is so full I don't see either happening anytime soon LOL
Gunsmithing / Re: Ordered a lathe
When I get home for good and have the time I'll be getting a lathe.
As of right now it will never be where I need/want it.
I miss not having one.
General Discussion / Re: POI shift
Sorry everyone. I am new to discussion form formats. I’m trying to figure out how to respond to each of you individually.

Optic: Arken SH4 4-16x50 (I personally mounted, leveled, torqued, loc-tite everything from base up.)

123gr ELDm are reloads that I worked up with Varget 39gr
140gr Norma factory
140gr Federal factory
143gr ELDx precision hunter factory

Also, I’m trying to attach pics of targets/grouping from iPhone but is not allowing jpeg pics. Figures..🤦🏻‍♂️

IMO that kind of proves my point the 123s were worked up in your rifle and zeroed the 143s are factory and not optimized for your gun even though they're shooting smaller. Zero the scope to the 143s but make note of the 123 zero so you can easily return to it.
