Reloading / Re: Neck Turning Part Five, Seating

"From a mission standpoint, I don't feel that turning these necks outside and inside made a mess of things, nor do I see fame and fortune in my future,"

Chris I am definitely seeing progressive improvement in your groups. Sub o.4 MOA at 300 yds is nothing to sneeze at.👍
I'm willing to bet that at least part of that is better brass prep.

Are buying commercial ammo or reloading? Reloaded AR ammo can be tuned to the rifle just like a bolt gun.

Good luck with your new build.

I think this might be a good corporate move for us reloaders.

Would love to see a video of that episode Wayne. I wear a brace on my right leg and often that leg gets tangled up in bramble and tall weeds. Can't tell you how many quail I've taken in the midst of falling down. 😊

Dave it looks like you two got to shoot together - I'm happy for both of you.

Sounds like you had the shot, and you took it. 😊
Congrats Wayne

As I think about the primer pocket depth as it relates to the case rim, I don't think it would have much affect on the pocket diameter.

Quote from: DHuffman on April 26, 2024, 05:54:16 PMCurious why you think this might give an extended primer pockets life?

If I understand it correctly it is sizing the base of the case all the way down to the rim. It gets the bottom part of the case that a FLsizing die doesn't reach. If it is actually getting that far down, I can see how it might compress an expanded primer pocket.

I dont know enough about this sizing approach to understand all of what it does.

So what are your thoughts on this sizer. I'm wondering if it might prolong primer pocket life.

Lookin' good Grant!

I guess the term "experienced " is relative. He didn't get to where he is by practicing, developing loads, and competing just occasionally.

I was quite surprised Jeff wasn't leading the pack on the first day but not surprised he came back. He is an excellent shooter with lots of experience.

Thanks Bob. Some very nice groups there. 👍
It's tough to give up your opportunity to shoot and compete so you can focus on the MD  responsibilities. My hat is off to you and Louie. 👍
