SP works great in my 25-06 but I see no further reason to add wear to my 6.5 CM barrels when 4350 (any brand) works so well and is easy to get on the net.

The problem with chasing loads, is by the time you have tried them all your barrel is shot.

I have a Bergara LRP Elite, factory 140gr bthp avg. 2543fps. Using same brass
using 41.0grs of superform vel was avg. 2493fps. using same brass 43.5grs
went avg 2589fps. Now using re-formed .308 brass, 43.5grs superform went
avg 2687fps. Re-formed .308 brass with 43.0grs went avg. 2630fps.
Next time trying 44.0grs and all groups sub MOA.

I tried a couple of loads with the 123 gr A-MAX over 47.5 grains of Super Performance on 12-19-18.  Got a 200 yard group of 1.684" and velocity average of 3005 fps  My COAL was 2.255".  Temp was 52 degrees with humidity at 78%, wind from the east at 4 mph.  Our club range is 243' above MSL.  I only had 10 A-MAX left so my testing was very short.  47.6 grains, interestingly enough, opened up a five shot group to 2.160" with a velocity of 3021 fps. Brass used was Hornady with a weight of 148 grains, fully prepped primer pocket a deburred flash hole.  Cases trimmed to the shortest at 1,910".  The barrel is a factory Savage I bought from a Savage forum member.  It's an unfired take off.  Current round count is 70.

Are you sure, seems a little short on the COL side., maybe that's base to ogive.
Hornady 9th ed suggests 2.710" & its what I use for that pill.
My load for that pill @ 3000 fps from 24" barrel is 41.0 gn Varget, COL 2.710".  (work up to this carefully, its hot)
My normal load for this pill runs 2861 fps, for best groups.

Superformance with the 130gn Swift Scirocco and the 140gn Hornady SST is a great load. The Swift runs right over 3,000 fps so the long shorts are well within the capability of the bullet to do the work quickly. Be aware that the powder is temperature sensitive so as a long range plinking load, you're very likely to see fluctuations with point of impact, despite careful handloads.
Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.

No it's quite stable compared to H4350. What you are seeing is the variance of the burning curve, because it is extremely progressive burning. This means you can have either a classic "spike" burning curve, or a prominent plateau, or mesa. This will vary barrel timing and harmonics dramatically. But when you plug it into a strain system and shoot over a chrony, it is quite stable with heat soak testing.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

Yes, base to ogive.

12-31-18 Shot 140 grain Sierra BTHPs over 44.6 grains of Super performance in prepped Hornady brass that's been loaded 3 times, BR-2 primer.  COAL to ogive is 2.265".  Velocity averaged a rather sedate 2619 fps and grouped five into 1.618" at 200 yards. Temp 68 degrees with humidity at 94%  elevation 243" above msl.
