Curious if anyone has any experience with this bullet? Thinking about doing a load workup with it in .280 AI, any information much appreciated.

I used to hunt with factory ammo 139 grn SST Superformance in my 7mm08 and killed lots of stuff with it.
It's CREEDMOOR - two E's, two O's.

That factory 7-08 ammo (Superformance) is 2950 @ the muzzle. It'll be going 3050-3100 in a 280AI or faster according to some of the load data I've been studying.

My dad used it in his 280Rem.  It killed like nobody's business but I might suggest not putting it through the shoulders if you like shoulder roasts.  Through the engine room dropped them in their tracks. He ran them over 3K in a SAAMI 280 A Bolt(probably a little warm).I also run a 280 AI and have 100 or so 139 SST's when I inherited my Dads 280 and have yet to use them. Keep me posted on your results. I'm sticking around 160 grain bullets with the AI so far.

Hornady load data puts it comfortably at 3100fps max loads for 280AI and 3K even for the 280 Rem.  The 7-08 runs 2900 with 760 and 414 easily. Good numbers all across.  I'm still kicking myself for selling my 7-08/700.

Man, I absolutely LOVE my 7mm08, but it isn't a hunting rig. It has replaced the 308 as my favorite short action cartridge.

I have a lot of guns... There, I said it.
