1 word guys....WOW!!! great looking guns. mine is FINALLY complete except for cerakoating action. maybe,just maybe i'll get to bring it home by the end of the week. will be some time before i can work on loads,still havent gotten the dies yet.( thats my fault)
but you can bet the farm i will post some gun porn of her because for 8months now yall have been putting up with me asking questions about the c.m.and i owe it to everybody thats put up with me to atleast show you how she looks. still gonna ask questions and get advice as its a new caliber to me,but we all share the same addiction so i dont feel toooo bad. ....tick tock,tick tock tick tock .as i wait for the call.

The rings are high for sure. I had them on my DPMS. I am saving up for a decent scope with 30mm tube so I figured I would be changing out the rings anyway. I may just buy some so so rings to get that bell down on that barrel.

This is my Savage LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor. It's out of the box aside from the 10-50x60mm Sightron and my "custom" cheek rest that I made myself.

brother thats a good looking savage that i know will "git er done" how do you like the sightron? dont know anything about them. clear at 1000? what type recticle?

This is my only Sightron and I am pretty happy with it. I picked it up used for $700 and I've been pleased with it so far. With our Georgia humidity and mirage I don't get above 35 power very often though. It is bright and clear at 1,000.

ERShaw 26" SS 1:8"
Headspaced on a fired round from my LR.
...borrowed a scope from an AR.
Headed for the range as soon as it quits raining.

Nice pieces. My wife and I have made the switch to a CM family. Problem is she is LH, but Savage took care of it. Mine is a 16 and hers a 11 both have Leupolds. We just hunt but do they shoot both under moa with factory 140 A-Max. Hers a little better than mine till I started loading. Here is a pic of some of my loads. 300 yards 140 VLD hybrid, I consider that lucky for me.

one of my best friends lives in seattle. he is a commercial salmon fisherman out of pugent sound (bay) -probobly didnt spell it right.
he is a great hunter,doesnt shoot the cm yet. ive been to the southeast corner several times ...anotone area, close to lewiston idaho. is that pics of your vld load at 300yds?
if so what recipie are you using, powder,primer, seating depth,etc...? great group for sure!! i just got my 1st cm this week and most guys seem to shoot 40-42 gr of h-4350 behind the 139-142 6.5's i will shoot the berger 140vlds

swampthing; Anatone is good hunting. some decent bucks and 400" bulls come out of that area every year. So here is my load development story. I started with loads of H-4350 at 42.0; 43.0; 43.5; 44.0 at magazine length. They where plum into the lands. I shot all loads at 300y. The 43.0 grain load stood out 2". I was going to go .1 in both directions of 43.0 but I changed bullet depth to just off the lands to gross adjustment of 1/4 turn out per load on seating die. Bang low and behold this is the group with a full turn off the lands. Had one other group at 3/4 at 300y. I haven't measured it yet as my friend has my calipers and he's in Kansas hunting. He'll be home this weekend. Federal 210 and Hornady cases. I will let you know on length. Shot again today 2 almost touching and F-upped next shot 1.5". I'm not the best shot.

That is one sick group for 300 yrds. I was happy to see that at 100 while working my seating test. Next is powder workup.. mine likes the vld's. 08 off the rifling. Going to start loading tomorrow ill snap a pic of the new gun once I get home.

My buddy s trying to talk me into an Idaho trip. Id love to go hunt elk or moose sometime.

Here's a pic of my Creedmoor after my home done rattle can hornady paint job LOL Also a few groups from factory 140 AMAX ammo after getting the barrel set back.
