Ravaged threads
I just got done putting remage threads on a savage barrel
Remage nut fits perfect. I ran the 1-1/16-16 die right over the top of the 1-1/16-20 savage thteads.
I've wanted to try this for a while
I'm glad it worked. Threads tend to.match every 4 turns with this die. 4 turns equals 1/4 inch with the savaget having 5 turns to 1/4 inch.about every 4 turns it turned easy for that turn. I think the die cost me between $100 & $150 the savage die came from brownells for about $100 (on sale) a few years back. Both dies are 2.5 inch diameter and adjustable. I ordered the die wrench from home depot and it was shipped to our closest store.
