Vortex new ammo

Looks like Vortex is the newest player in the factory ammo.
What case do you think it's based off of?

Looks like a fatter magnum case to me.

It's a 6.5-284 on steroids. Case is a wildcated 300 RUM and requires a long action. It would have no problem pushing a 200 gr bullet to 3000+. Crazy.

Last 8 pound 300 RUM I shot put a nice crescent shaped scar in my eyebrow. ? Nasty SOB!

They said it isn't probably going to be made, then what was the
point of a big announcement talking of the new 6.5BC?
They have nothing more to do I guess at Vortex.
The video was a total joke from beginning to end.
If it was April 1st then I would understand. Vortex loss a lot
of credibility with me on this one.

After seeing what its made from,  believe i saw one last summer at the local fair....it was in a food wagon...it was called a "doughnut maker".

Personally I'd rather see them upgrade the glass in the GE and maybe increase the MOA travel in it. They're a good scope and I have 5 of them but some refining would only make them better.
