Thinking of a Proof Research Sendero Light barrel for my .300 Win mag A-Bolt. It's a great action and that barrel is the best for hunting due to its light weight. I can hog out the barrel channel on the plastic stock for a free float fit. There's just enough stock on the fore arm to do it.

I have a Browning X Bolt Eclipse Target in 6.5 Creed. I also have a RPR in 6.5 Creedmoor. The Browning shoots as well as the RPR and the RPR has a LRI barrel. The Brownings don't get the attention they deserve. My X Bolt is a couple years old and has the 28inch barrel but it is not threaded like the new models are. If it was, I would put a MB on as it has a bit more felt recoil than the Ruger.
Thank you,
Steve

I am looking to buy the new X-Bolt Max Long Range 6mm Creedmoor. Does anybody have any info on it, like is the stock good enough, trigger light enough and such. I spent $2500+(1500 on a Nightforce) getting a Browning Long Range Stalker to shoot 1/4 moa or less. I am building another 1000yrd gun and I really want to use a browning action. Right now my cousin is building a 6mm creed on a rem action. Last year we opened up our range from 880 to 1000 yrds and have had a couple competitions here already. Just people from the area (Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas). This is my stalker hunting load with 143 edl-x.  I shot 3 shot groups with shifting 5mph winds getting ready for deer season (.244 at 200, .551 at 300 and .976 at 400). 41.2g of H4350 and a .005 OTL works for my rifle (2783fps) all my deer took 5 steps or less this year

Have a 308 A-bolt cut back to 18" & threaded.  Still accurate, just lost a few fps.

Wazizit, I'm with you.  I have a couple of X-bolts that shoot very well with factory barrels.  I would shoot them more but I have not found a good source of replacement barrels or a smith that likes to work on them.  So how are you planning on dealing with this?

I recently bought the Speed model and I am itching to break it in and start reloading ammo for it.

OH, ALL RIGHT!

I now own a new 6.5 CM X-Bolt Pro - just so I could join this club.
And is shoots Hornady 140 gr. ELD-M into nice little 1/2" groups at 100 yards using my SWFA SS 3 - 15 x 42 scope.
With its factory lapped barrel it had better shoot great groups.

THEN I bought Talley rings with matching burnt bronze Cerakote and the rear ring has the optional bubble level (in burnt bronze, natch).
Also I bought a matching (burnt bronze) spare magazine.
I'm considering getting my glasses, binoculars and front teeth done in burnt bronze Cerakote.

This Pro version of the X-Bolt is my "mountain rifle" and at 6 lbs. 1 oz. bare rifle it is light enough for me. Love that carbon fiber  stock.
