Just drew first blood with my new 6.5 Vanguard. 143 ELD X did the job at 200 yards. Ran 75 yards and fell over.

Congrats!

I couldn't seal the deal today so I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Very nice Rooster!
Next weekend hopefully I can let loose of an eld-x in Wisconsin.
Congrats on a mighty fine buck.

Thanks fellas! This little cold snap sent them into rut this afternoon. This morning I didn't see much of anything but this afternoon they were running wild. Complete pass through on the bullet with no lungs to be found

Great deer! Wide and carries mass all the way out.  Lots of venison being collected with 6.6 CM rifles in my area. I shot a cull 5 point Saturday afternoon. 100 yards. 140 Berget Elite hunter.  No flop on this one.  He went about 50 yards into a thicket with a liquified heart.   Brother and I dressed, quartered and iced him down last night.
If you have the shot, take it.
